What would a competition like NEUE STIMMEN be without its media partner?
The contest's longstanding cooperation partner, the WDR TV and radio station, ensures with its recordings and broadcasts that the finals are accessible to a broad public and contributes to the impact and recognition of the International Singing Competition.
A Strong Partner
Since 1995, the Westdeutsche Rundfunk TV and radio station has accompanied the NEUE STIMMEN International Singing Competition as a cooperation partner of the Bertelsmann Foundation. With its broadcasts and recordings on radio and television the WDR makes special efforts to reflect the various aspects of the competition such as its international character, its high quality standards and its significance in the music world. It is not difficult for North Rhine-Westphalia's broadcaster to enhance the good reputation of NEUE STIMMEN given that the young singers that come together in the WDR transmission area belong to the world's outstanding budding talents.
The competition held in October 2007 can once again be presented to a wide audience thanks to the WDR. The television premiere of the documentary film "Der Gesang der Seele" will be broadcasted on 26 February 2008 at 00.05 h on the WDR television.
