JunHo began his studies at Chung-Ang University in his hometown of Seoul, graduating in 2008 with a bachelor of music degree. He then moved to Munich to study with Prof. Josef Loibl at the University of Music and Performing Arts. In 2008, JunHo sang the role of Ali in Die Pilger von Mekka at Munich’s Prinzregententheater. That same year, he appeared as Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Performances as Rodolfo in La Bohème and Don José in Carmen followed in 2009. In 2010, JunHo took over the role of Malcolm in Macbeth with the Munich Radio Orchestra, directed by Friedrich Haider, and he will perform as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck.
JunHo is a winner of several international competitions. Among many others he won first prize at the Kulturkreis Gasteig Wettbewerb in Munich in March 2009 followed by a 3rd prize award at the NEUE STIMMEN Internationale Singing Competition in October 2009 in Gütersloh, Germany.
Since 2011/2012 JunHo is a member of the ensemble of the the Volkoper Wien. In the current season of 2012/13 he appears in the roles of the third Jew in Salome, as Beppo in Der Bajazzo, as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi.
