Jurgita Adamonyte

Jurgita Adamonyte graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music with a Bachelor of Music in 2002. She also completed her Master of Music degree there in 2004. Jurgita studied for four months at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag via the ERASMUS exchange program. She currently attends a postgraduate opera course in London. She has already been among the winners of several national singing competitions; in 2000, she was awarded the first prize at the "Paulauskas Young Singers Contest" and came second in 2004 at the "Jonuskaite-Zauniene Singing Contest" in Lithuania. Jurgita attended several master classes in 2004, e.g. with Teresa Zylis-Gara in Vilnius, Sarah Walker in Helsinki and Alison Pearce in Cracow.
In the Final Concert of "Neue Stimmen" on 22 October 2005 Jurgita Adamonyte sang the arias "Che farò senza Euridice?" from Orfeo ed Euridice by Christoph Willibald Gluck (audio-file) and "Ah scostati/Smanie implacabili" from Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
