Tina Schlenker studied singing under Prof. Beata Heuer-Christen at the State Academy of Music in Freiburg i. Breisgau, Germany. She has already had considerable success at a number of competitions throughout Germany. Since 1997, she has made regular appearances at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, including as Anna Reich, Blonde and Zerbinetta. Prior to this, she was a member of the ensemble of the Städtische Bühnen in Freiburg, where, among other roles, she also took the part of Barbarina in "The Marriage of Figaro".

Besides coming first in "Neue Stimmen", 1999 also saw Tina Schlenker winning second prize in the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna. Having left Braunschweig in 2000, she went on to make her debut in the part of Blonde in Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio" at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden, where she has been a permanent member of the ensemble since the 2000/2001 season. Tina Schlenker has also made guest appearances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Semper Opera in Dresden and at the Hamburg State Opera. After having a baby in 2002, she will be returning to the stage in 2003 in productions of "The Magic Flute", "Rosenkavalier", "The Abduction from the Seraglio" and in Richard Strauss' "Ariadne auf Naxos" at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden.
