The program for "Neue Stimmen" 1991 had this to say about her:
Annette Seiltgen trained with Emmy Lisken at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory and later at the Augsburg Academy of Music. She was a member of the Bavarian State Opera's Opera Studio and in 1986 won second prize in the National Singing Competition in Berlin. She is currently engaged at the Staatstheater Kassel, but will be moving to Munich's Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in 1992.

What is said about her today:
After four years at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, 1996 saw Annette Seiltgen switching to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf/Duisburg, where she still is today. She has received numerous awards and the Jahrbuch der Opernwelt elected her "Best Young Singer of the Year 1998". She has made guest appearances at the National Theater in Mannheim, at the Staatstheater Hannover and in Madrid, Nice and Santiago de Chile. She sang in a production of "Rosenkavalier" at the Savonlinna Opera Festival 2002 and in the 2002/2003 season can be heard at the Nederlandse Opera and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in productions of "The Magic Flute" and "Salome" and at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in "Fledermaus" and "Ariadne auf Naxos". She has also appeared as a soloist in numerous radio and television productions.
