Laura Polverelli

Laura Polverelli received her vocal training under Anastasia Tomascewska Schepis in Siena and went on to study under Carlo Bergonzi and Alfredo Kraus at the Chigiana Academy. She is currently a pupil of Professor Rita Hirner-Lill at the Munich Academy of Music. Her achievements to date include first prize in the Katia Ricciarelli Competition in Montova and coming third in the Mario del Monaco Competition. She has made guest appearances in both Treviso and Milan.

What is said about her today:
Following her success in "Neue Stimmen" 1993, Laura Polverelli received a number of guest engagements in Germany, Austria, France and Italy. She has also done well in a number of other competitions and had a year-long engagement at the Opera House in Bonn. 1996 saw her making her American debut at the Seattle Opera to great critical acclaim. Since then, she has been a regular guest performer at many of Europe's most famous opera houses and at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Rossini Festival in Pesaro and Glyndebourne Festival. She has also collaborated on a number of radio and CD recordings. In the 2002/2003 season, she can be heard in "Giulio Cesare" at the Teatro Real Madrid, in "Les Huguenots" at the Frankfurt Opera, in "Così fan tutte" at the Teatro Regio Turin and in the "Barber of Seville" in both Zurich and Bologna.
