Hanno Müller-Brachmann

Hanno Müller-Brachmann began singing at a very early age as a member of the Knabenkantorei Basel. He later received coaching from Stefan Kramp at the Music Academy in Basel and had lessons with Prof. Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau at Berlin's Academy of Arts. He is currently studying under Professor Ingeborg Most at Freiburg Academy of Music. Hanno Müller-Brachmann has already won several competitions, including the Prix Jeune Talent at the 1994 Mirjam Helin Competition in Helsinki.

In 1998, Daniel Barenboim hired Hanno Müller-Brachmanm to sing at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden. Besides singing opera and oratorios, this baritone singer is also deeply committed to the lieder genre. He has performed in numerous opera houses and concert halls throughout Europe, Japan and the United States as well as making guest appearances at such renowned festivals as the Salzburg and Schleswig-Holstein Festivals. In 2003, he can be heard in productions of "The Magic Flute","La Bohème", "Don Giovanni", "Così fan tutte" and "The Nose" at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden as well as in a number of lieder recitals.
